When was the first Newspaper published?

Hello friends. The idea of writing down important news on a paper and send to friends or other important people is not a new one. In Rome, around the fifth century B.C., people used to send newsletter to people who were living away from the capital to keep them informed about the happenings. In 60 B.C Julius Caesar regulated this. A bulletin for posting in the forum was published by his government. It was called “Acta Diurna” meaning “Daily Happenings”. In the sixteenth century forgers, a German Family of international bankers started a newspaper. Although their main interest was to promote their business rather than politics, their contribution is important because they actually established a proper system for collecting reliable news to be passed on to maximum number of people. In America, “Public Occurrences” was started in 1690 in Boston. I could not continue for long. Another paper “Pennsylvania Gazette” came out in 1729. By the time of the American Revolution people were so keen on newspaper that as many as 37 of them were being published in U.S.A. Today thousands of newspapers are published in different countries of the world in different language. I hope this information provided here would have been put into use.
