Co-Curricular activities
Education is important for an individual for setting up their future career and livelihood. But the thing that the society forgets to imbibe in a child’s mind is that, money doesn’t make life complete. The adults know how their lifestyle changes once they are adults. In making a career, they leave all the other small but important things in their life. They forget their real passion. People live to make money and to set a career for their children. The children grow up and continue to do the same. The vicious cycle goes on and on. But what people forget is to live their lives. Main reason behind this is that the importance that should be given for co-curricular activities are not given. Children may really like dance or music or a sport, but parents stress on studies so much that they lose touch in their interest. Also there would have been a possibility that they could have made a career in their field of interest and hence could have leaded a happy life. Parents should not impose a career on their children. Their future is snatched away from them. And even if they cannot make a career in an extra curricular field, at least they can relieve from stress. Co-curricular activities must be equal importance as studies. Talent should be recognized and given a chance even if it is not a profession that the society respects.
